OUR STORY

The Flying Cow has been designing and printing custom t-shirts in Columbia, Missouri since 1973. Originally called “Greek World”, we used to work almost exclusively with Mizzou® Sororities and Fraternities. Over the years, as our clientele expanded to include more local businesses, schools, and other organizations, we decided it was time to rebrand. In 1996, we officially changed our name to The Flying Cow Shirt Company. Our whimsical name was inspired by our customers, staff, and industry.

In the early 2000s, The Flying Cow was bought by Missouri Cotton Exchange, another locally owned custom apparel company. Production was then moved from our tiny downtown location to their much larger facility located just south of Faurot Field.
